Dziah Dance Company are currently making a huge impact in the NZ street style hiphop dance arena. The dance compny as been together for 5 years, but in that time have formulated a unique style which they want to take throughout NZ and international showcases.
Dziah is made up of four crews Dziah 2.0,Dcypher,Pitch Black,Dejavu and Krash.Dancers froma ll ages from 7 to 25yrs who have been trained in contemporary dance, american jazz, gymnastics, as well as members being well reknown for breakdancing and street style hiphop choreography in New Zealand. Not only are they talented in different dance genres, they are also a multi cultural group with representatives who are Canadian, Niuean, Maori,Cook Island, Irish, Samoan, Tongan,South African,Cambodian, Fijian, English, Italian and Philipino.
The name DZIAH is becoming more and more recognised thanks to various appearances on television programmes and involvement with radio stations.The fact that they have also won all the major hiphop dance competitions held in NZ in the past 3 years is aiding in their well deserved fame. While all the dance competitions and performances have kept DZIAH extremely busy,they have also found time to establish their own dance studio with the help of Crosspower Ministries Trust. In which they can be found frequently practising or teaching dance classes that are open to anyone in the community.Dziah has 4 development teams which are an all girls crew Development team Dycpher and an all boys dance crew development 2.0.Dziah is always looking for young talent to develop all over NZ. Dziahs professionalism has grown to an intenational level.Having the First NZ Team ever to place 8th in the World Hiphop Champs Finals 2005 and recently Ranked 2nd in the World Hiphop Champs 2006..
